Dr. Katheryn Thompson, known in many grassroot communities, as Dr. K The Executer, has always been passionate about connecting with people and bringing awareness to local, national, and global communities. She has advocated for over 25 years on behalf of many worthy causes and her efforts seamlessly impacts organizations and changes the lives of people every day. Dr. Katheryn Thompson has an innate ability to connect with people in communities that are under-recognized and underfunded.
From the moment Katheryn shared her voice on K104 radio, she instinctively knew that her true purpose would always include a connection to people. During her teenage years and for the first time ever, Katheryn found her purpose birthed from a tragic high school event. A bullet shot and killed a classmate in her ninth-grade year. This act of violence and moment of unbearable pain fueled her passion to advocate for cause. Her true purpose took root with conversations with people and recognizing their concerns.
She realized that her planning efforts could directly impact the lives of others. Katheryn curated, managed, and executed a local talent show to bring awareness of violence and its impact on others. She also curated and facilitated a step show at the community center to which multiple high schools participated. Katheryn completed an interview on DFW’s K104 FM, a local hip- hop radio station, who also advertised for the upcoming event. She had an epiphany that day and it was evident that her purpose aligned with her beliefs as an advocate for cause.
After graduating from Pyramid Images Academy, Dr. K was determined to find the true meaning of life and decided to pursue higher education focused on spirituality and coaching others on a purpose filled life. She is not a religious person, but very spiritual. She has obtained degrees from Gospel Ministries Outreach Theological Institute (GMOR) located in Houston, Texas. She received a Master and Doctor of Religious Counseling in 2014, and Master of Purpose Driven Power in 2021. Dr. K understands one must first identify with their gifts, understand their purpose, and unapologetically accept and fulfill their own destiny. Her education and spirituality have been the foundation of her beliefs towards humanity and goodwill to all.
Dr. Katheryn Thompson started her own consulting and promotions company, Courcities International, in 2016. She created this company to help organizations bring awareness to important causes by connecting communities to tools, resources, services, and options for support. Her noteworthy efforts in building relationships and facilitating promotional events & campaign operations continues to expand her platform to provide the wow factor in sponsorship opportunities.
Whether raising awareness for a cause or finding a promotion for a solution, her efforts build impact and effect change in the lives of people. Passionate for the cause is more than a concept for Dr. K, it is her way of life, connecting and campaigning all the way for causes that matter most. Dr. Katheryn Thompson has been happily married to Keyco for 15 years, has two children,1 grandchild, and resides in the Upper Gulf Coast area in Texas.
